CRARY, ND (July 7) - This Saturday night the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association 410 Sprint Cars will make their third and final appearance of the season at Devils Lake Speedway.
The event, presented by CHS Lake Region, comes amidst an intense points battle atop the series standings. Casey Mack will enter the weekend as the point leader after Wade Nygaard had led the standings since the season opener back on April 29th.
Nygaard leads all drivers with 12 career victories at Devils Lake, while Mack has a pair of victories at the high-banked quarter-mile. On top of that, Nygaard and Mack are the two drivers who have won the first two Sprint Car events of the season at Devils Lake as Nygaard won on May 17th and Mack won most recently on June 4th.
A couple other drivers to watch will be Austin Pierce in the Opp Construction/Lithia Ford #2A. Pierce is a former NOSA champion and has a best career finish of second at Devils Lake. He currently sits third in the standings and will be looking to rebound after a rough night at River Cities last weekend.
Also, keep an eye on a couple of young guns who currently run fourth and fifth in the series standings. Twenty-year-old Jordan Adams and 18-year-old Jade Hastings have both been running strong as of late and are due for a feature win. Adams was one spot away from getting that win on May 17th as he finished second to Nygaard, while Hastings has finished fifth and fourth in the first two Devils Lake Sprint Car specials.
